内容記述 | Abstract:This study examined women's junior college students' sport competence and the factors influencing perceived physical competence and peer and teacher acceptance. A total of 100 freshmen-all members of the Early Childhood Care and Education Department (mean: 18.14±0.45 years)-from a women's junior college participated in the study. A survey was conducted to assess the students' sport competence (perceived physical competence, feeling of receiving acceptance by peer and teacher, and locus of control for exercise), affection for exercise, pleasure in exercise, and extracurricular activities at junior or high school. Further, the effect of the students' locus of control for exercise, affection for exercise, pleasure in exercise, and extracurricular activities at junior or high school was investigated using multiple regression analyses.The results were as follows. While the students showed a decreased awareness of perceived physical competence and an increased awareness of feeling of receiving acceptance by peer and teacher. For women's junior college students, their locus of control for exercise, affection for exercise, and extracurricular activities at junior or high school were significant and direct predictors of their perceived physical competence. In relation to their feeling of receiving acceptance by peer and teacher, locus of control for exercise and pleasure in exercise were significant and direct predictors. Therefore, in order to raise perceived physical competence and feeling of receiving acceptance by peer and teacher, it is especially important for women's junior college students to raise their locus of control for exercise. | |||||||
