内容記述 | To deepen the understanding of the uniqueness of community health and its subjects in adult nursing, we introduced "Clinical practicum of traveling clinic in remote place." As shown in the first report in 2005, some nursing students acquired a deeper understanding of the people who live in remote place, while some only acquired a superficial and general understanding. In 2005, to facilitate a deeper understanding of remote place patients, we introduced group work whereby groups of students rotated through the same patient. Results from a qualitative analysis of the students' clinical evaluation revealed twelve categories describing rural subjects' way of life and sense of values. 1. Affluence. 2. Mundane. 3. Inconveniences. 4. Creative ness. 5. Maintenance. 6. Helplessness and loneliness. 7. Neighborhood solidarity. 8. Social role. 9. Social support. 10. Independence. 11. Understanding and appreciation of life. 12. Family support. We compared the categories with those of the previous year. Results revealed that the students improved their understanding of rural life as shown by their increased number of specific comments, and their positive perceptions. However, the students still failed to understand the point of view of subjects who had a life filled with some sort of health problem, and the teachers still need to facilitate a more holistic understanding of the subject in the students. | |||||||
